Leno’s temple joke angers India’s Sikhs

India’s Sikhs have demanded an apology from US TV host Jay Leno, saying he insulted their holiest site while trying to make a joke about presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The Tonight Show presenter showed a photo of the Golden Temple, the holiest site in the Sikh religion and claimed it was Mr Romney’s summer home.

Dalbeg Singh, a top Sikh leader, said community leaders would seek an apology from Leno.
