Georgia gets the Big Brother chop

IRISH model Georgia Salpa last night became the third celebrity to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house in London.

Georgia was the strong favourite to leave as soon as she was nominated alongside Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen, one of the favourites to win the whole show.

The 26-year-old said she was “relieved”, saying the experience had been “stressful”.

She said: “I am relieved, it’s so stressful in there and it’s just so tough.

“I knew everyone was going to nominate me — I actually don’t care that they all nominated me. I am just not the one to start arguments. I just wanted to have fun.”

She burst into tears when she was nominated for eviction on Monday, but she was all smiles as she left the house to cheers rather than the jeers she had feared.

Her fellow celebrities accused her of being boring, putting her up for eviction because she “fails to give anything back”.

But she and Kirk Norcross, from reality show The Only Way Is Essex, livened up the show on Tuesday as they finally kissed, although their embrace was only part of a task.

Georgia’s relationship with Kirk is thought to have contributed to her eviction, with the audience watching her flirt with him, then discussing him with Playboy twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon.

In her post-eviction interview with Irish host Brian Dowling, who won the second series of Big Brother in 2001 and Ultimate Big Brother in 2010, back in the studio, she was critical of Kirk.

“He’s got a different game plan going on,” she said. “He has a girlfriend. If I had a boyfriend I wouldn’t be acting like him.”

Asked if they would be going a date, she replied simply “no”.

Georgia is the third celebrity evictee, following the departure of Natasha Giggs, sister-in-law to footballer Ryan Giggs, and Andrew Stone, TV dance teacher.

She said she wants the twins to win the show. Another celebrity will be evicted tomorrow.
