Pakistan threatens to deploy weapons after Nato air-strikes

PAKISTAN may deploy air defence weapons to the Afghan border to prevent future Nato air-strikes such as the ones last month that the Pakistani military claims were pre-planned and that killed 24 soldiers, a senior politician said yesterday.

The move came a day after hundreds of people protested in the capital Islamabad, against Nato strikes in the country.
