Breivik ruling

MASS killer Anders Behring Breivik, 32, must remain in pre-trial detention for eight weeks, four of them in solitary confinement, a Norwegian court has ruled.

Breivik ruling

Judge Anne Margrethe Lund announced the decision after a closed hearing in Oslo yesterday attended by the right-wing extremist who killed 77 people in Oslo and at a youth camp on Utoya island.

The ruling means police can continue to hold Breivik in custody until November 14 when a new hearing will be held.
