Lawyers in Strauss-Kahn case accused of collusion
NewsBeast and the Wall Street Journal reported sources in the New York District Attorney’s Office said they were investigating talk that Diallo lawyer Kenneth Thompson met in secret with Strauss-Kahn lawyers Benjamin Brafman and William Taylor, offering to sabotage the criminal case against Strauss- Kahn in return for a civil settlement.
People briefed on the matter said Kenneth Thompson initiated the talks with Strauss- Kahn’s lawyers after prosecutors began to learn of serious weaknesses in their sexual-assault case against Strauss-Kahn. No settlement was reached.
