A KENTUCKY man was arrested after a suspicious item believed to be a home-made firework was found in his luggage at a Nebraska airport.

Police said Gabriel Copley, 20, of Mount Sterling, faced a possession of a destructive device charge for the incident at Eppley Airfield in Omaha. He is being held at Douglas County jail.

Police evacuated the airport’s south terminal. A police bomb squad later took the item outside and destroyed it.
