INDONESIANS who can’t afford traditional medical care are turning to another option: electric therapy in which they lie down on train tracks.

Pseudo-medical treatments are popular in parts of Asia — where rumours about those miraculously cured after touching a magic stone or eating dung from sacred cows can attract thousands.

Experts say there is no evidence it lying on the rails does any good.
