Mirren, 66, beats models with best celebrity body

FILM star Helen Mirren has been named Best Celebrity Body at the ripe old age of 66 in a new poll which suggests older celebrities are rivalling their more youthful counterparts in the public’s eyes.

The actress, best known for 1990s television crime drama Prime Suspect and films including 2006’s The Queen where she played Elizabeth II, pipped supermodel Elle MacPherson, 48, to the top spot for women in the poll.

They both gained more votes than model and television presenter Kelly Brook, who came third, while Pippa Middleton could only manage eighth place in the list after wowing the nation in a figure-hugging dress at the royal wedding in April. There was no place for her sister, the newly-wed Duchess of Cambridge.
