Another woman claims secret affair with Strauss-Kahn

ANOTHER woman has come forward to claim she had a secret nine-month affair with Dominique Strauss-Kahn that eventually drove her to attempt suicide.

The 38-year-old, only identified as Marie-Victorine M, told how the former IMF chief enjoyed “forceful lovemaking” during their clandestine trysts in Paris in 1997, when Strauss-Kahn was married to current wife Anne Sinclair.

She described Strauss-Kahn as having a “huge sexual appetite” and being a “serial manipulator ofwomen”.

But she stressed the sex was always consensual.

The half-Spanish, half-Congolese legal consultant is the sixth woman to have confessed to a sexual relationship with Strauss-Kahn since he was accused of raping New York hotel chambermaid Nafissatou Diallo in May.

Marie-Victorine M told Switzerland’s L’Illustre magazine she met Strauss-Kahn at a socialist party meeting in Sarcelles, near Paris.

She said: “I was 23 and he was 47. I couldn’t believe what had happened. He asked me for my number and we met later in a hotel bar in Paris. We both knew exactly what was going to happen.

“We carried on meeting in a lavish apartment in Paris that he said belonged to a friend.

“The relationship was physically intense, but not violent. Is a man violent if he pushes you against a wall to kiss you?”

She said they broke up nine months later following a row. “I took the whole thing very badly. I was very hurt and took a load of pills. I don’t remember that episode very clearly.”

Meanwhile, the hotel maid accusing Strauss-Kahn of a sex assault has been wrongfully portrayed as a money-grubbing opportunist in accounts of her recorded remarks to an incarcerated friend, her lawyer said after they reviewed the tapes during a nearly eight-hour meeting with prosecutors.

The tapes also established that housekeeper Nafissatou Diallo recounted the attack to the man during their first conversation, a day after the alleged attack.

Diallo’s sit-down with prosecutors came days after she went public in interviews with Newsweek pressing for prosecutors to keep pursuing the case.

Prosecutors and Strauss-Kahn’s attorneys said they had agreed to postpone his next court date from August 1 to August 23, when prosecutors could announce whether they will go forward with the case.
