Mad Men tops the bill with 19 Emmy award nominations

MAD MEN has captured 19 Emmy nominations to lead the series pack, but the melodramatic mini-series Mildred Pierce, starring Kate Winslet, received the most nomi-nations for the September bash, up for 21 gongs.

Mad Men is up for best drama series for a fourth consecutive year. Its leading actor, Jon Hamm, is up for best actor, again for the fourth time.

Modern Family, last year’s top comedy series, was the most-nominated sitcom with 17 bids.
