Woman prepares to receive her mother’s womb
Sara Ottoson, 25, was born without a uterus because of Mayer Rokitanksy Kuster Hauser (MRKH) syndrome. Her mother, Eva Ottoson, 56, a businesswoman based in Britain, has agreed to take part in the procedure — becoming the first woman in the world to transplant her womb into her daughter.
Sara, who lives and works in Stockholm, said she was unconcerned about the implications of receiving the womb that carried her.
