AN Iranian spokesman says the country has received a new shipment of nuclear fuel from Russia for its nuclear power plant.

Hamid Khadem Qaemi, from Iran’s nuclear agency, says Russia delivered a 33 tons (30 metric tons) by plane in the last week for the Russian-built Bushehr plant in southern Iran.

The US and some of its allies suspect the plant is part of an Iranian effort to develop nuclear weapons. — a charge Tehran denies.
