Bin Laden ‘was lunging for a weapon’

US OFFICIALS said the Navy SEALs who stormed Osama bin Laden’s compound shot and killed him after they saw him appear to lunge for a weapon.

The officials, who were briefed on the operation, said several weapons were found in the room where bin Laden died, including AK-47s and side arms.

US President Barack Obama also said he decided not to release death photos of bin Laden because their graphic nature could incite violence and create national security risks for the US.
