Medics ‘turned a blind eye’ to torture at Guantanamo
Researchers came to the conclusion after reviewing evidence relating to nine individuals who claimed they were mistreated at the US naval base and detention camp in Cuba.
The investigators, one of whom is a retired US army brigadier general, found numerous instances of Guantanamo Bay medical staff turning a blind eye to injuries consistent with torture.
