35 drown in Congo sinking
The vessel sank near Minova in the Kalehe territory, 45km from Bukavu, capital of Sud Kivu province, with about 40 passengers and a variety of goods on board, said Jerome Moke, chairman of the association of ship owners of Lake Kivu. “We have found five survivors, a woman and four men. The boat itself has not been found,” Moke said.
