2m child porn photos seized

BOSNIAN police have seized around two million child pornography pictures and 7,000 video clips during the arrest of a man accused of being involved in an international online abuse ring.

The unidentified 46-year-old was held following a raid on his home in the northern town of Derventa.

A police spokeswoman described the suspect as an “important member” of the international paedophile community and said he was “producing and posting online child sexual abuse materials.”

However, she said he appeared not to be linked with the huge international paedophile ring centred in The Netherlands that was exposed last week following a three-year investigation codenamed Operation Rescue.

The operation against the ring, based on an Amsterdam-based online forum called boylover.net, uncovered 670 suspects and identified and safeguarded children in more than 30 countries by arresting people accused of abusing them.
