Family grieves after son confirmed as quake victim

A MONAGHAN family are in grief after their son and brother was confirmed as one of the victims of the New Zealand earthquake.

Owen McKenna. a psychiatric nurse was believed to have been out shopping when the earthquake struck at around lunchtime. It’s understood that a building may have collapsed on Mr McKenna’s car.

Owen McKenna, in his mid 40s, was a member of a large, well- known family from the Dundion area of Truagh, on the Monaghan\ Tyrone border near Emyvale.
