HONEYMOON murder accused Shrien Dewani has good reason to fear he will not get a fair trial in South Africa, his spokesman said, after the national director of public prosecutions accused the Briton of committing a “heinous crime”.

Publicist Max Clifford said it was “absolutely frightening” that Menzi Semelani appeared to have pre-judged the case.

South African authorities are seeking to have Dewani, 31, taken back to the country to stand trial for the alleged contract murder of his new wife, Anni, 28, on their honeymoon in Cape Town in November.
