Carlos the Jackal on trial

NOTORIOUS terrorist Carlos the Jackal is to face trial in Paris in November for his alleged role in four deadly bombings in the early 1980s in France.

Venezuelan Carlos, whose real name is Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, is accused of a role in four attacks that killed 11 people and injured at least 100. Three others will also stand trial.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office said the trial is scheduled from November 2.

Ramirez is already serving a life sentence in France for the 1975 murders of two French secret agents and an alleged informer.
