Brent is back

RICKY Gervais is to make a guest appearance in the US version of The Office, playing blundering boss David Brent.

The comic will come face to face with Steve Carell, who plays his counterpart, Michael Scott, in the US remake of the hit BBC show.

Writing on his blog, Gervais confirmed the news and said: “Blink and you’ll miss it, but just a little thanks to Steve Carell. A pleasure to work with the great man.”
