Eminem album tops the charts

EMINEM’S last CD has been declared America’s best-selling album of last year.

Recovery sold 3.4 million copies since its June release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Second on the list is Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now, which sold about 3.1 million.

Speak Now, Taylor Swift’s third CD, which was released in late October, is third, selling about 2.96 million copies.

While Eminem owns last year’s top CD, his Rihanna-assisted Love the Way You Lie is third on the list of top songs. He was beaten by Katy Perry’s smash hit, California Gurls. The song features Snoop Dogg and sold 4.4 million tracks in 2010.
