Floods kill 15 in bus tragedy

FIFTEEN people have died after a bus packed with 77 schoolgirls was swept off a road by floods in southern Egypt.

Poorly equipped rescue workers and local residents struggled to save passengers on the bus, which overturned in a deep trench on the road leading to the city of Minya, 200 km south of the capital, Cairo.

The last two survivors were pulled out of the waters early yesterday.
