Arcade Fire album tops critics’ poll

CANADIAN rockers Arcade Fire’s record The Suburbs has been hailed album of the year in a prestigious poll of music critics.

The band topped music retailer HMV’s annual poll of polls for 2010.

It is the second time they have topped the survey, having triumphed with their acclaimed debut full-length album Funeral back in 2005.
