Six politicians injured in fight

SIX members of Ukraine’s parliament were admitted to hospital after a fight.

Politicians from President Viktor Yanukovych’s Party of Regions stormed the parliament podium on Thursday night after it had been blocked by legislators from former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s party protesting about a corruption investigation against her.

Tymoshenko’s party said six members of parliament sustained serious injuries, including concussion, a fractured jaw and multiple bruises.
