Snipes starts jail sentence

ACTOR Wesley Snipes arrived at a federal prison in Pennsylvania yesterday to begin serving a three-year sentence for failure to file income tax returns.

The Blade star entered the Federal Correctional Institution, a minimum security prison camp is worlds away from the harsh prison fortresses depicted in Snipes’ films Undisputed and Brooklyn’s Finest.

The 48-year-old Snipes was convicted in 2008 on three misdemeanour counts of willful failure to file income tax returns.
