Pop star jailed for sex abuse

A FOUNDER member of 1980s band KC and the Sunshine Band has been jailed for seven years for sex offences involving teenage boys.

Producer and bass player Richard Finch pleaded no contest in Ohio to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and other charges.

His voice breaking, 56-year-old Finch apologised to a judge and the teenagers, saying he had little memory of the activities because of alcohol.

Police say the multiple Grammy Award winner was arrested in March after a boy reported he had sexual contact with Finch at the man’s home in Newark.
