Lily thanks fans after loss

LILY ALLEN thanked fans for their support after losing her baby just a few days ago.

The chart-topping star was six months pregnant but lost the baby last weekend following complications.

The 25-year-old singer had previously suffered a miscarriage in 2008 when she was dating Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.

A spokesman for Allen announced she and partner Sam Cooper had lost the child and asked for privacy at such a “deeply distressing time”.

Yesterday Allen posted a message on Twitter to say: “Thank you for all your kind messages.”

She has been a prolific user of the social networking site and last weekend she posted a message saying simply “say a little prayer x”, before the problems with her pregnancy became public knowledge.

Many friends had sent messages of support including Myleene Klass, Emma Bunton and Denise Van Outen.
