Thatcher, 85, leaves hospital

FORMER British prime minister Margaret Thatcher has left hospital, almost a fortnight after being admitted with an infection following a bout of flu.

Thatcher, 85, was whisked by car out of the private Cromwell Hospital in west London for the short journey back to her Belgravia home.

Her spokesman said she had now been given the all-clear by doctors.
