Woman on Tube death charge

A WOMAN appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering a man who fell under a Tube train while wearing women’s clothes.

David Burgess, 63, from central London, was struck by a train at King’s Cross station during the Monday evening rush hour.

Nina Kanagasingham, 34, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates Court yesterday accused of his murder.

Wearing a dark blue sweater and dark trousers, she spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth at the brief hearing.

There was no application for bail and Kanagasingham, of Chichele Road, Cricklewood, north west London, was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.
