Teen ‘killed by great white’

A CORONER said yesterday a great white shark probably killed a teenage body boarder at a Central California beach.

The Santa Barbara County coroner’s office made the announcement after conferring with Ralph Collier, president of the Shark Research Committee.

Mr Collier said the shark that killed Lucas Ransom, 19, was 17 to 18ft long and weighed possibly 4,000lbs.
