Man arrested after eight-hour police siege

A 22-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after an eight-hour police siege at a flat in the west end of Glasgow yesterday.

Police were called to Dumbarton Road at 7.30am yesterday morning after reports that a man had barricaded himself inside a flat following a domestic incident.

The road was closed in both directions as armed police, bomb disposal experts and negotiators arrived on scene.
