Motorists fail to cut costs

Motorists fail to cut costs

Nearly all (93%) fail to consider filling up with petrol more often to prevent driving around with a heavy tankful, the poll by Autonational Rescue found.

Just 17% look for the cheapest filling station, while only 20% look for shortcuts to reduce journey distances, the survey of 1,000 showed.

Even checking tyre pressures was only considered vital by 34% of those polled.
