Elderly couple stuck in lift die

AN elderly couple died when they got stuck in a lift in their home.

Sherwood and Caroline Wadsworth, from St Simons Island, Georgia, in the US, were trapped with no way to call for help as temperatures rose in the lift until they died from heat exhaustion.

He was 90, she was 89.
