Guitar greats trio honoured

A TRIO of guitar greats – Jimmy Page, Duane Eddy and Richard Thompson – scooped honours for their contribution at the Mojo Honours in London.

Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Page – creator of killer riffs such as Whole Lotta Love – was inducted into the Hall Of Fame of Mojo, the music magazine. He went from session work to a stint in The Yardbirds before forming Led Zep, becoming one of the most lauded players of all time.

Other winners included Kasabian and Richard Hawley. The event also saw Teardrop Explodes partially reunite for the first time in 28 years.
