Man stabbed to death over €10

TWO teenage girls have been accused of stabbing an 80-year-old man to death as they robbed him of €10.

Police said the 15 and 16-year-old repeatedly stabbed their victim in the chest and abdomen after he called for help when they threatened him with a knife. The man had allowed them into his home in Serres in northern Greece, where he lived alone.

Police said the girls were detained as suspects and later admitted carrying out the fatal robbery. They face charges of murder.
