Knox back in court over police violence claims

AMANDA Knox appeared in court sporting a boyish new look yesterday as she faced accusations of slandering Italian police while on trial for the murder of Meredith Kercher.

Knox claimed she was hit twice by a police officer while she was being interrogated over the death of the British student in Perugia.

The 22-year-old was found guilty of killing Ms Kercher with her Italian former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito in December.
