Kercher killer appeals again

Rudy Guede was found guilty in a fast-track trial of sexual assault and murdering Kercher at her shared house in Perugia, Italy in 2007. A later trial also convicted Kercher’s house-mate American student Amanda Knox and Knox’s former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. Knox was jailed for 26 years; Sollecito, 25.

Guede, from the Ivory Coast, initially appealed in December but the court upheld the original conviction and sentenced him to 16 years in prison.
