Third search for black box

FRENCH investigators probing last year’s mysterious crash of an Air France jet in the mid-Atlantic off the coast of Brazil are gearing up for a third search for the plane’s black boxes and an explanation for why it plunged into the ocean.

All 228 aboard died, including three Irish women.

Two search boats with three robot submarines will use sonar to scan a 2,000-square kilometre area with rough terrain at depths of up to 13,120 feet (4,000 metres).
