9/11 fund theft

A WORKER at the World Trade Centre memorial visitor centre has been charged with stealing more than $40,000 from its funds. The thefts occurred between last August and February.

Police said security cameras were installed after an audit showed cash register receipts were coming up short.

Emmanuel Reyes, 25, will appear in a Manhattan court. The Tribute WTC Visitor Centre sells memorabilia to raise money for the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
