Calls to axe Haiti’s €770m international debt

HAITI’S £547 million (€770m) international debt must be axed to help the country recover from its devastating earthquake, Christian Aid said yesterday.

The charity launched a petition to persuade the British Government to take the lead in getting the burden removed.

Ads will run in papers and on the internet to drum up public support.
