Damien ready to lead Irish team in ruined Haiti

TO those who know him best, Damien McSweeney has become known as Mr Multi-Tasker. Last week, the affable Cork man received a call that will test his skills to the full.

A member of the Department of Foreign Affairs Rapid Response Corp, and with degrees in international development and international relations, Damien, along with other members of the team, has been notified that he is on stand-by for his first deployment.

A family man with three young children, Damien has understandable concerns regarding the forthcoming mission, which could last from three to six months. But they are outweighed by the satisfaction of being able to use his skills and compassion to assisted the devastated people of Haiti.
