Gervais to go on world tour

RICKY Gervais’s global domination continues – the comedy star has announced his first world tour.

The Office star, 48, will perform stand-up gigs in around 20 countries, including the US and Britain.

Gervais made the announcement as he prepares to host the Golden Globes on Sunday, one of the biggest events in the US showbiz calendar which pulls in around 300 million viewers.

He will bring the Ricky Gervais Live: Science tour to Wembley Arena in London, Madison Square Garden in New York and the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles following sell-out dates in Britain last year.

Other countries in which the comedian will perform are yet to be announced.
