Teacher admits assaulting boy

A SCIENCE teacher admitted yesterday that he assaulted a pupil at his school.

Peter Harvey, 50, admitted attacking the boy during a lesson at All Saints’ Roman Catholic School in Mansfield.

But the teacher denied attempting to murder the boy and a second charge of intending to cause him grievous bodily harm.

At Nottingham Crown Court, Harvey pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent to cause serious injury.
