Homophobic attack probe

A 17-YEAR-old was arrested yesterday in connection with a homophobic attack on an off-duty policeman.

PC James Parkes, 22, was attacked in Liverpool city centre last week by up to 20 thugs.

He had been enjoying a night out with friends in the city centre’s gay area when the mob assaulted him, inflicting multiple skull fractures and fracturing his cheekbone and eye socket.
