A father at 71 is ridiculous, says pensioner’s granddaughter

THE granddaughter of a man thought to be Britain’s oldest father of twins said yesterday it was “ridiculous” that her 71-year-old grandfather was still having children.

Richard Roden, from Walsall in the West Midlands, posed in The Sun with wife Lisa, 25, and identical eight-month-old daughters Emily and Ruby.

The retired welder told the paper: “Being a dad at 71 is definitely more tiring than in my 20s, but they give me such a lot of pleasure.
