AMERICANS Elizabeth H Blackburn, Carol W Greider and Jack W Szostak won the 2009 Nobel Prize in medicine yesterday for discovering a key mechanism in the genetic operations of cells, an insight that hasinspired new lines ofresearch into cancer.
