Letterman reveals sex blackmail plot

A MAN has been charged over an alleged plot to blackmail US chat show host David Letterman over sexual relationships he had with female employees.

TV network CBS confirmed that employee Robert Halderman, a producer for the real-life crime show 48 Hours, had been charged with one count of larceny.

Halderman, who has been suspended, could face five to 15 years in prison if convicted.
