Pit bull chews toes off baby

A US woman who slept as a pit bull dog chewed the toes off her four-month-old baby’s left foot is to face charges.

The mother, Robie Lynn Jenkins, and her boyfriend, Tremayne Spillman, would be charged with felony child abuse, the Onslow County sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the couple were dog-sitting the one-year-old pit bull for a friend who had been arrested on gun charges.
