Footballer gets driving ban

SOCCER star David Bentley has been banned from driving for a year for drink-driving.

The Tottenham Hotspur player, 24, pleaded guilty at St Albans Magistrates’ Court to drink-driving on August 13 in Hertfordshire.

He crashed his Porsche into a lamppost after drinking four pints and two spirits at a gig. He had 51 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
