Wright Penn seeks divorce

THE wife of Hollywood actor Sean Penn has filed for divorce, according to reports in the US.

Robin Wright Penn, 43, submitted the legal documents on August 12 in Marin County, California, according to People magazine.

The papers state that the pair have already reached agreement on the division of property and intend to share custody of their son Hopper, 16. Their second child, daughter Dylan, is 18.

The couple began their relationship in the early 1990s, marrying in 1996.

It is not the first time that the Penns have filed for divorce. In December 2007 both Wright and Penn filed on grounds of irreconcilable differences.

The request was later dismissed at the couple’s request.

Penn was previously married to Madonna, from whom he was divorced in 1989.
